I'm kicking off my first giveaway of the New Year a little early. I really debated about what to do with this dress and finally decided it should find a new home where it would get worn. It was started for Abby, but by the time I finished it she had grown too big for it. It is about a size 2/3, has a pleated skirt of 80"-84", piped bateau neckline, hand hemmed (sleeves and skirt), bodice length of 7.5", and waist 21".
It is made of 1850's reproduction fabric and is unlined. Perfect for the miniature reenactress or history lovin' little girl! If you'd like to enter please leave a comment and mention it on your blog, if you don't have a blog but would still like to enter please drop me a line at: yankeeingenuity1860@yahoo.com
Good luck!

I love this little dress! While it won't fit my girls, there's another little girl in our group that hasn't dressed for an event yet and this would be big enough for the summer season as well as leave a little room for her to grow a bit. She's been itching to join the rest of the children who are properly dressed.
ReplyDeleteYou did a beautiful job!
Wow, what a huge giveaway! What I wouldn't give for a little girl of my own so I could enter. . .sigh. It is beautiful! I hope it goes to a little girl who will wear it all the time!

ReplyDeleteI wasn’t sure where to post this question...Have you ever heard of oil pulling? I just found out about it and started three days ago. Though I haven’t noticed any difference, as of yet, I have heard that there are many benefits.
I would love to be entered. My youngest dd is 20 mo. so this is just about right for her!

I wish that I were married & had a daughter to wear such a lovely creation. I plan on making some things to put in my hope chest for the future children I hope to have. I hope that whomever wins it, that it will be well used & loved.
ReplyDeleteGod bless,

I read about this on a friend’s blog. Your creation is beautiful; I would love to be entered into the drawing. My sweet little Charlee girl would wear this proudly. Thank you to Abby who never got to wear the dress but is willing to let another little girl love it!
ReplyDeleteI do have a blog; I am way behind on updating it... I will try to post something as soon as possible.
Thanks
